Renue-The-Planet!
Renue-the-Planet was created in early 2011 after considering my own impact on the Environment. Though the impact of one person may not seem like much, multiple this by the more than 7 Billion people that also live here... with roughly 212,035 MORE being added everyday. I wanted to create a place where like minded individuals could swap ideas on regenerating the Planet Earth.
The vast majority of wars and conflict are triggered by demand for natural resources (oil, water, minerals, etc). We often wonder why there can't simply be peace in the world, while we continually and mindlessly waste the planet's natural resources... this will inevitably lead to even more fighting over basic necessities to main our standard of living. The few obvious solutions would be to reduce our everyday consumption and by using Renewable Resources!
I've always had an interest in the outdoors and our profound connection to our environment, which provides our basic requirements for life... water, air & food. Hence the need to make sure it doesn't turn into a dump... Environmentalism doesn't have to be all doom and gloom. I hope to change the way people feel about their relationship with the planet and simple ways they can contribute.
